Was in a long ago demolished Soda Fountain, A historic landmark in my home town, Early 1900s. Oddly, the fountain now is shown in a downtown bank--and it is LONG with old fixtures for making Ice Cream Concoctions. Really cool!It was still in operation til the 1960s. This was purchased at an estate sale which had some things from the old building , a relative of the owners had them passed down. I got a few items. Love this. Three slices of pie at a time sat in the lidded basket in the 1960s he thinks. A bit of tin still inside
The pie sign is certainly vintage and looks like a half of a rolling pin, with handles (sorry I didn't capture all of it, but close enough) and was sawed in half and hand painted. Now makes a so cute kitchen decoration, and can still be used. The handles are used to lift the lid. Now I want PIE!!I can almost smell it.
