Here's (what is now just part of) my 'nameplate' collection, at least those of which that I re-mounted to a felt faced display panel inside an antique quarter-sawn oak frame. (itself likely from a ~100+ yr old dressing table, the empty frame was found in the attic of a ca. 1880's house and had typical 'mirror hardware' on its back)
These are (mostly) various manufacturer's name/ID plates, (mostly) saved from a kinda random assortment of machinery/equipment/things which, for the most part (and whatever reasons) probably doesn't exist any more now. They are made of aluminum or brass (one or two might be other metal?) stenciled/painted with or without further stamping, a couple are actually embossed. Several (but not all) have some relation to old church pipe organs.
