Picked up this thermometer at auction, the glass is gone from it and it is pretty rough condition but I think cool nonetheless. It fit well into my Coke corner and for $10 I dont think I could go wrong

FRANKLIN GARAGE/AUTO TIN SIGN PRE NEON
THIS LARGE 3'X5' TWO SIDED SIGN WAS PURCHASED BY ME 45 YEARS AGO. IT HAS VERY LITTLE OF THE ORIGINAL PAINT HOWEVER IT HAS REFLECTIVE SAND STILL ON THE SURFACE. THE INTERIOR HAS 9 SOCKETS AND LAMPS. WHEN IT IS TURNED ON THE LIGHT SHINES THROUGH HUNDREDS OF PUNCHED TABS. THE EFFECT IS AMAZING AND EACH PUNCHED HOLE LOOKS LIKE THERE IS A CLEAR GLASS MARBLE IN EACH ONE. THE MANUFACTURES LABEL IS VERY EASY TO READ.

F.A.O. Schwarz sign from Seattle Store
Not sure what this guy is worth but it is the old hanging sign from the now closed down F.A.O. Schwarz store down town Seattle. Part of the oldest toy store chain in the United States of America.

My Modern Advertising Clock - Refurbished!
I have been a Rep for Motor Information Systems (Selling Motor Manuals) for the past 22 years. I used to cover the Northwest Indiana Territory and as I traveled around I would see old neon clocks. When I ran across them for sale - they were just too expensive. Flash Forward to a year ago. I was in a body shop in PG County, Maryland and saw this clock hanging from the ceiling. It was missing the bulb, and the glass cover but the clock worked fine. I bartered with the customer and ended up shelling out about $23 for the clock. I did a bunch of research online and came across this website to learn that it was made by The Modern Clock Company. It was then I realized that it was not a neon clock. It was a white Circline Bulb Clock. I found a sign shop in Frederick Maryland that did Neon work. I had then clean it up, add the neon ring, do the glass work and paint the bezel green. I had them make it look like an old Motor Manual Clock. I think it turned out great!

Wonder Bread Cardboard Bank
A neat little item, this is a very small (approx 4 1/2" x 1 1/2") Wonder Bread cardboard bank. From the 1960s (build your bodies 12 ways designation dates it), I am suprised it has lasted this long without being flattened!

Bordens's Porcelain Ice Cream Sign
1950's Borden's Porcelain Ice Cream sign that is displayed in my kitchen above the food pantry. The sign is 48 inches long by 16 inches high. I love this sign because it has Elsie the cow displayed on the sign, she is an iconic image from the 40's and 50's. Thanks for looking!

unknown vintage New Jersey plate??
I have a fabulous collection of old New Jersey license plates dating from 1921-1959 and know all about them. This one is a mystery to me...There is NO DATE! I've never seen that before.
It measures 6" x 12", just like the one from 1959. It is navy blue with orange lettering. Any information would be greatly appreciated....I've looked everywhere!

The truck is St. Kitts & I'm trying to identify which island the other is from by the ph. #'s. The driver actually wanted money for taking the picture but dropped the idea when I called him a "bum'ble clot. Often helps when you speak the patois.

Mobilgas Socony-Vacuum sign
My father recently passed away and has this sign hanging in the garage. I was wondering if anyone had any info on it. Bottom has I.R.R. 48 printed on it so I'm guessing that means it was made in 1948? It's double sided and pretty large. I'm guessing about 5-6 feet tall. Any info you can provide would be greatly appreciated as far as rarity, what it's made of, or when it was made. Thanks.
